Tense aspects in the natal chart: how to work through? Why include tense aspects?

As you know, this configuration looks like a triangle with a right angle, and can combine the signs of only one cross, so its interpretation begins not from the participating planets, but from the cross: https://vk.com/wall-31915057?owners_only=1&q= tau-.. .

Many people fear the T-square like fire, considering it the most difficult and painful figure. But, believe me, it can be much worse, for example, a bisextile, a sail or a large trigon, which contained damaged elements 6/8/12. Conservatives will laugh in my face - what are you talking about, girl, these beautiful harmonious figures, on the contrary, will smooth out any shortcoming or risk, turning it into talents and freebies. Indeed, they will certainly smooth it out if adequate elements are involved, and if the listed ones are involved, then this is a real mirage in the desert - a person chooses life according to trines and sextiles, because it is much easier than struggling, straining and working, but with the participation of malefactors it turns out that Instead of an oasis, the native chose an irreversible (the figures are closed) disaster, and since the distillation of energies in such a figure is harmonious, negative events happen quickly and easily. For example, the formula for widowhood: an oblique sail or bisextile with a base of 7-9/12 by 8. And no one would have thought that such an abomination could be hidden in the most harmonious chart. Against this background, t-squares sometimes look much more promising, but only on the condition that we use and work on them as nothing other than our profession. Yes, yes, you heard right, t-squares can and should be implemented, but only in your work. Because only at work we can be so stressed. And if its capabilities are used in career advancement, the t-square can take you to unprecedented heights. Especially if his planets have support and harmonious aspects, because everything is good in moderation, both tension and harmony.

Thus, when asked about profession, the first thing I look at is not the houses of work, but the t-squares, especially if their planets are associated with the 2nd, 6th and 10th houses. They are the ones who talk about the main area of employment and the functions performed in the process of work stress. In synthesis with the zones, signs and formulas of the houses of work, a very accurate picture is obtained. Plus, by advising you to choose a field of activity according to the t-square or even just a square, you relieve a person from other problems that this figure can bring, and divert its energy into a constructive direction. To draw the right conclusion, you will also need to know well the professions to which crosses are assigned:
1. Cardinal = startupers, entrepreneurs, pioneers, idea developers, creators (many of them are photographers, artists, designers, for example), and as a result, they are frequent guests in the media, and they are simply not shy about showing themselves.
2. Fixed = any profession where required physical stress(from a waiter, dancer, sailor to lifeguard and cook), or perseverance, as well as professions related to politics and power (civil servants), finance, hierarchies and structures
3. Mutable = professions ending in ist, such as lawyer, linguist, journalist, logistician, tourism (business), economist (accounting), parodist (cosplay) and also teachers, doctors, psychologists and all sorts of creative professions, freelance professions, such as operators

Next, you will need to consider the basis of the t-square as a functional, starting with the value of the sign axis (here are the most basic ones, but can be supplemented):
- Aries-Libra: diplomacy, contracts, work with key clients, consultation, creation, “chief ..”
- Taurus-Scorpio: insurance, finance, crisis management, state apparatus (pension fund), tax, audit, working with money/potential client property, leasing, notary services, security, security, politics, physical activity, etc. .
- Gemini-Sagittarius: logistics, IT, sales, communications, mediation, teaching
- Cancer-Capricorn: construction, security, artistic professions (photographers often)
- Leo-Aquarius: IT, engineering, modern technologies, creativity, public affairs, stage, forecasting
- Virgo-Pisces: teaching, cleaning, schematization, service, closed/secret organizations, doctors, army

Apply the functions of the base planets to the sphere. Moreover, it is worth considering their opposition as a function of combating. The near planet, with the help of its functions, fights the distant one.
And finally the top will have the final say.

It's easier to show than to tell, look at the cards and read:
1. John Lennon preached the ideas of equality and brotherhood of people, peace, freedom. This made him a hippie idol and one of the most significant public figures of the 1960s and 1970s. Fought against oppression and dictatorship: Moon in Aquarius 180 Pluto, through voice, singing, music: Mercury in a water sign at the top of the t-square.

2. Zinedine Zidane is a famous football player, and later a coach: first as a player (sun) midfielder (cancer) against the opposing team (Jupiter), and then as a coach (himself in the role of Jupiter) over the players (sun). Pluto cusp at 5 in Virgo = physically strenuous activity as work-play. (click on the picture to enlarge)

3. Tony Blair - former Prime Minister of England (Chiron diplomat at 9 in the difficult zone at the top), leader of the Labor Party. While climbing the career ladder, he also wrote a column for the Times (Mercury is involved in the t-square, in addition to the diplomat Venus). The Aries-Libra diplomacy axis is at the base. But the most interesting thing is that the program of social transformation of the “New Labour” was aimed at ensuring and maintaining social justice and stability of British society (Venus).

(click on the picture to enlarge)

The theoretical basis for the modernization of the country was the concept of the “Third Way”, developed by Tony Blair’s chief adviser Anthony Giddens. The “third way,” according to Blair, is a search for an alternative, a compromise and a combination of two elements: a market economy and universal social justice, combined with increased attention to the human factor. One of the main vectors in the social policy of “New Labour” was a gender program, based which lay the need for equality in society, which would contribute to sustainable democratic development. Labor focused its attention on the problem of women's employment and the problem of gender inequality in the labor market, which is most manifested in the wage gap between men and women (in 1997, women's hourly earnings amounted to 80.2% of men's hourly earnings, and in 2004 they rose to 82%). An excellent demonstration of the struggle of Venus in Aries against the opposition of the limiter Saturn in Libra (restriction of women's rights).

Try to analyze your t-squares in terms of their participation in your professional activities.

P.S.: while researching t-squares, I was finally convinced that the logic of their interpretation also applies to tau-squares with nodes (previously: https://vk.com/wall-31915057?owners_only=1&q=tau-..) : a planet at the top of a t-square with nodes is not at all an obstacle to the fulfillment of karmic tasks, but when used correctly, on the contrary, it is a karmic profession/activity of the native, while the axis of the nodes tells about the functions performed in the process of such activity.

In classical astrology, tense aspects are often presented as a fatality that one must come to terms with, learn to live with, or endure. Oppositions and squares of planets are often used to frighten people in books and during consultations.

But in the astrological model of the world there is no place for suffering or unconditional resignation in the face of difficulties. On the contrary, intense aspects can give unprecedented talents, career success, and powerful personal growth. The charts of politicians, businessmen, and prominent people are replete with an abundance of planetary quadratures and oppositions.

From this article you will learn how to work through tense aspects in your natal chart. How to turn a minus into a stable plus.

Why do tense aspects get angry?

Tense aspects indicate internal conflict, split, problem. War of two planetary qualities. Squares, oppositions of planets are the same kick in a certain place that magically makes us get out of bed and do something.

You can’t just take and work out the Quadrature of the planets

Space, through quadratures and oppositions of planets, tries to knock a person out of his comfort zone and open new horizons.

But if a person is not conscious, clings at all costs to the illusion of holy stability, lives by the principle: “if only it weren’t worse,” is afraid of any changes, is nostalgic for the past: “that’s how it used to be,” then the tense aspects for him are real evil in the flesh . Such a person manages to miss even the most incredible opportunities. The new is perceived as a threat to everything familiar.

There is an opinion that the more harmonious trines and sextiles in the chart, the better. And vice versa, if there are many squares, oppositions of planets, this is not good.

In reality, the situation is exactly the opposite. The shortage of intense aspects and the abundance of harmonious ones create a motivational vacuum, a swamp from the comfort zone, TV and rose-colored hopes from the series: when my prince finds me, and the million he has suffered through years of waiting will fly through the window.

Trines and sextiles create comfort. Imagine that you come into the world with already pumped up muscles. You don't need to develop anything. Just take it and do it! You may be surprised to find an abundance of harmonious aspects in the cards of alcoholics, drug addicts, and people with very low fulfillment in life. The world through trines and sextiles warms and creates a comfort zone. But there is no motivation to move on, to develop.

Tense aspects not only do not provide skills or talents at the start of life. And they also hammer from all sides, forcing the byaku to turn into candy. Tense aspects provide an incredible amount of motivation and energy. This is a huge plus. Simply put, you don’t like squares, oppositions of planets, which means you don’t know how to prepare them. And here's the recipe.

Big benefits of tense aspects

For example, you are on the verge of getting fired, but are trying your best to hold on to your job. Yes, they pay three kopecks there. Yes, you have already forgotten the last time you slept well. Yes, there are no prospects there. But you say: there is stability here. Where I go now, they won’t take me anywhere because I’m 150 years old, I don’t have the necessary experience, there’s a crisis in the yard.

But it is quite possible that through dismissal the world is trying to say that it’s enough to sit still and waste your life. Go into business, creativity, build your own projects, etc. But instead of starting to change something in your reality, you lazily wave your hand and hold on to your cardboard house of beliefs, habits and fears.

Suppose you have a strong card square planets between the first and tenth houses. If I work where there is no promotion, career, power, the square will come back at a low level I And X:

  • conflicts with the boss
  • problems with the law, the state (the tax office is nagging, fines keep coming, it’s not clear why)
  • a huge number of obligations, tasks that limit you

If I am aware and understand that the squaring of the planets is not a stamp of misfortune in the astrological passport, but a huge opportunity where you need to make an effort according to the principle: two steps forward, one step back, then I get a completely different level squares of planets I and X Houses:

  • me as a boss
  • I have status, power, formal authority
  • the world gives me the opportunity to influence, control
  • I'm going into business, building a career

There is no bad weather. If it’s raining outside, then you just need to take an umbrella, and not blame the heavens for the injustice of existence.

Tense aspects in action. Should we be afraid?

In any aspect, two key planetary functions are always involved. One of them is the base, base, main characteristic. The other is a transformer, a quality that affects the base.

Personal Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars can be both the basis and the transformer.

Social Jupiter, Saturn and higher Uranus, Neptune, Pluto always act as a transformer.

For example, Moon square Pluto. The Moon, as a personal planet, has the main function:

  • my habits, comfort zone
  • basic needs
  • mother image
  • how I perceive the world

Pluto, like a transformer, influences the Moon. But not the other way around. This tense aspect reads:

  • before I relax - I feel stressed, anxious
  • the world for me is a place where I need to survive, protect myself (either they me, or I them)
  • emotional vampirism, destructive emotions, self-flagellation, a lot of anger and rage accumulates inside
  • need to control, manage, suppress (I'm a mother, I know better)

On the plus side:

  • transforming birth programs
  • the ability to clearly understand and feel the needs of other people
  • relaxing from heavy workloads
  • I am engaged in psychology, studying motivation, motives of behavior, NLP
  • The more I test myself for strength, the more comfortable and healthy I feel

Note! Pluto colors the Moon with its characteristics. The Moon does not affect Pluto in any way.

Aspects between higher and social planets do not make psychological sense. They indicate only the event level.

Square planets from Neptune in the Xth to Jupiter in the VIIth:

  1. As soon as I have a status, competition begins, enemies arise, courts, etc. But if I withstand this competition and win, my status grows exponentially.
  2. As soon as I have a partner, problems arise at work, in my career, or with the law (for example, traffic cops start fining me at every turn). If I overcome this, super profitable partners and clients come to my project.

Here we are dealing only with event rules. No psychology.

How does squaring planets work?

A sharp, hot, intense aspect with which Most of the troubles in the series are connected: fractures, sudden illnesses that ruin plans, layoffs, losses.

The principle of operation of planetary squaring: two qualities are in a hot war. To put it simply: The Transformer is trying its best to harm the Base. If the Basis takes into account the qualities of the Transformer, you get the result. If you don't take it into account, you get a problem.

Analogy: as soon as I go to bed, the neighbor behind the wall begins to fanatically drill into the wall. The sound makes me jump on the bed. I have two ways:

  1. First (do nothing): endure all night. Do not sleep, get a headache immediately complete with aspirin tablets. In the morning, say: it’s all my planetary squaring that’s to blame. And also the state, fate, the world.
  2. Second: (working out the squaring of the planets): get out of bed, go to a neighbor. Break his drill and throw it out the window. Or tell your neighbor to drill at another time. In general, start interacting with your neighbor. Yes, you will have to get out of bed, get out of your hard-earned comfort zone. But at the same time you get a restful and sound sleep.

The squaring of planets works according to the principle: I cannot use the qualities of the Base until there is interaction with the Transformer.

Mars square Moon. If the base is Mars:

  • I can't do anything until the right mood comes.
  • When I need to rest, I turn into an electric broom; when I need to act, I hibernate.
  • When I start doing something, I want to complete all the tasks quickly and relax
  • My activity and activities are interfered with by emotions, feelings, experiences. And when you need to worry, feed, protect, emotion, throw a hysteria - I sincerely don’t understand what all the fuss is about. And my loved ones call me insensitive.

Elaboration: when I need to do something, I eat something tasty. I create a cozy homely atmosphere at my workplace. I take a special rest before an important task. And then I go to work. Home exercise equipment. Martial arts aimed at defense: aikido, self-defense techniques.

If the base is Moon:

  • I can’t relax until I do something, show physical activity or aggression (if I argue with someone, I feel relaxed)
  • A lot of tension, aggression, and anger accumulate inside, which prevents me from interacting with the world.
  • Overly quick reactions: quick touchiness and the same quick-wittedness
  • When I start caring, I do it too actively, intrusively or aggressively

Elaboration: relaxing through tension. I do sports not in the morning, but before bed. When I feel anger, rage, I start cooking or doing household chores. Martian pet species, for example: Siamese cat.

There are never enough examples. So let's look at another one. Venus square Uranus. Venus is divided into two main poles: money and relationships.

Downside:

  • sudden, unexpected expenses cause discomfort, stress, loss
  • I can’t buy something right away. I put off important purchases for an endless “later”
  • I make utopian financial plans, but do absolutely nothing to turn my dreams into reality
  • I'm waiting for the magical moment when I should suddenly become rich. After. In the future, not now.
  • I quickly and rapidly begin to build relationships with people (personal, business, friendly). Just as quickly and suddenly, my relationships are shattered into smithereens because of some little thing.
  • In relationships I live in the future of the series: he will change later, then I will build a family, but now we need to take a closer look, gain experience, or we are not yet ready for a relationship. Everything would be fine, but this could go on for years
  • It is difficult to bear any obligations in a partnership
  • Distance in relationships

To work out the square of the planets Venus and Uranus, Venus needs to take into account and accept Uranian qualities. It’s simpler: before spending money, turn on Uranus. Before getting acquainted or building relationships, I turn on Uranus. What might this look like in practice?

  • I plan all expenses and income, purchases. Before I go to the store, I imagine in advance the possible amount of future money spent. If I don't do this, I get stressed at the checkout.
  • Unrealistically strong talent as a financial forecaster and analyst
  • I set far-reaching financial goals
  • I’m learning to invest, multiply finances, make long-term investments for years, and always save part of my finances for the future.
  • Before building a relationship, keep the distance, distance
  • Guest, civil marriage, long-distance relationships with minimal obligations (but you need to look at whether this does not contradict the 7th House)
  • Partner Uranist - general plans, chosen astrologer, inventor, creative artist, public figure, scientist, psychologist
  • The more freedom in the union, the better

Working through the squaring of planets is always associated with leaving your comfort zone and psychological pain. But if you overcome the first resistance, the square opens up into talents, strong abilities, and successes.

Remember the golden rule: The basis must take into account the qualities of the Transformer. Otherwise it will be a hot war.

How to bury the hatchet of opposition planets?

Cold war between the two functions. The opposition of the planets is a kind of cyclic square. You consider one thing, another comes out, then a third. The opposition of the planets gives the individual wisdom and experience, as it constantly forces him to maneuver, to seek a balance between the two spheres.

How it works: No one quality can win. I'm looking for a balance between the two. As soon as I pay attention to one planet, the other begins to go into deep minus. And so on in a circle. Two qualities cannot live without each other, but they cannot exist together either.

The opposition of planets works more on the internal plane, creating deep psychological splits, internal traumas and conflicts. The square of the planets acts relatively simpler, creating discomfort that needs to be overcome and get results.

Analogy. You went to bed and fell fast asleep. In the midst of sleep, in the most intimate place, you wake up from the wild sound of your neighbor’s drill. In a rage, you rush to your neighbor and throw his drill out the window. But now you can't sleep in silence. And when you finally reach the borders of Morpheus’s kingdom, children start screaming outside the window and you wake up again.

They predicted that you would destroy the opposition in the Opposition, and not join it!

Simpler: I can’t sleep if there’s noise. But I also can’t sleep in silence. Elaboration: I’m looking for a balance between the ringing silence and the neighbor’s drill. For example, I turn on the TV and music at a low volume and calmly fall asleep.

Opposition of the planets Sun and Moon- as soon as I start to relax, rest, take care - the Sun disappears. It seems to me that my life is decaying, I’m losing myself, my sense of confidence is disappearing. It seems to me that I am not fulfilled and all the best and good things are passing me by.

As soon as I start to rejoice, take initiative, do something myself, present myself, the Moon falls into the negative. I lose my sense of comfort and security, and I experience severe stress.

Processing method: I alternate functions, first the first, then the second, then the first again.

In the case of the Moon and the Sun - after performances, after joy, I eat something tasty, set aside time for myself to relax so that no one bothers me. After rest, I go to actively engage in solar affairs: join, lead, take initiative, etc. Another option: at work I’m a super boss, at home I’m super caring. Again I alternate two qualities.

Opposition of the planets Mercury and Jupiter. And again there are two distortions: then I’m a know-it-all, I’m being clever, I’m becoming big Soviet encyclopedia, I give advice where it is not required. I have chaos in my thoughts, I exaggerate, I embellish words. I get bogged down in details and don’t see the big picture.

Elaboration: I'm learning foreign words. I periodically write blog posts on my page. I live by the principle: I study and teach at the same time. For example, I completed a training and immediately try to pass on this information further or improve or expand it. Otherwise there is a lot of words, but no sense.

Why include tense aspects?

You can put a semicolon on this for now. The theme of intense aspects is as endless as the starry sky. The main rule for today is don’t be afraid, don’t avoid stressful aspects! These are your most powerful engines of progress, tools of success.

Remember, the most pleasant and comfortable comfort zone eventually turns into a swamp. And if this is exactly what happened to your comfort zone, then immediately turn on the stressful aspects!

From childhood we remember the phrase: “Repetition is the mother of learning.” Therefore, once again thinking about some aspect in the natal chart is not harmful.

Accidentally opened a book S. Aizina “General Astrology” and read about the square aspect. This aspect seems to be clear to everyone. What can I say: “tension!” and that's all. However, the author emphasized one feature of the square: “the additional aspect to the square is the square itself.”

No matter how much we want to avoid the situation, we will have to solve it. And there will be no easy way! S. Aizin emphasizes that the lack of options, opportunities for choice and freedom of expression forces you to do not what you want, but what you need. And we either struggle with circumstances - a strict boss (Sun square with Saturn), a picky mother-in-law (Moon square with Saturn), rude and sarcastic people around us (Mercury square with Mars). Well, or with internal discomfort - electrified emotions (Moon squared by Uranus), high expectations (Sun squared by Jupiter), etc.

The VSKA teacher described the square as a bent ruler. It is clear that an object (and in our case a person) cannot remain in this state for a long time. Everything pushes to get rid of the created tension. But the moment the end is released, it hits you on the head in one way or another.

How to deal with squares?

If we take 90 degrees from the beginning of Aries, then we find ourselves in the sign of Cancer and Capricorn. Therefore, they say that the Moon and Saturn rule the square. For us, this will be a hint for “working out” the square. At the moment of turning on the square, when a difficult situation arises from which we want to get out of it faster, we must include the principles of the Moon and Saturn. You cannot act emotionally (Moon) and instantly (Saturn). We will need endurance, patience, consistency (Saturn) and control over emotions (Moon).

If your boss entrusts you with important work, you don’t need to “drive the wave” and grumble: “It’s not my responsibility, let Masha do it.” You shouldn’t try to do it hastily, without preparation and careful planning. It should be remembered that such behavior will cause even more stress, waste of strength and energy, and will not lead to results. We can definitely say that no matter how hard you try to evade, you will not succeed. It will also not be possible to complete the task easily and quickly. The square is also insidious because at the end you will not receive praise from management for the result achieved. No matter how hard you try, the effort, nerves, and emotions expended will not be commensurate with the achievements achieved. Waiting squarely for the weight to fall off your shoulders and for you to breathe a sigh of relief is not an option. There will remain dissatisfaction in one form or another. You should know about this in advance and perceive it as a lesson, which is necessary and useful for character education and personality development.

An example of working out a square

Biography of the famous sculptor Auguste Rodin , born November 12, 1840 in Paris, perfectly illustrates how squares influence a person's life. In his horoscope, Mars in Virgo makes a square to the conjunction of Venus and Saturn in the sign of Sagittarius. This aspect is perfect for a sculptor: Mars (action) stimulates Venus (aesthetics, beauty) and Saturn (form, proportions) to create beautiful sculptures. I think everyone knows his famous “The Thinker” and “The Kiss”.

However, not everything went smoothly in the master’s life on the path to success. Rodin tried three times to enter the École des Beaux-Arts, but failed. For many years he had to eke out a living as an apprentice, decorator, and sculptor on public works. Working in the workshop of a sculptor famous at that time, Rodin made figurines for the owner, which he cast in bronze and put up for sale under his own name. One day, Auguste Rodin signed a figurine with his own name and offered it directly to an intermediary. And, of course, the square was not long in coming - the employer immediately found out about it and Rodin was fired from his job.

Another situation in the life of a master is indicative, which illustrates how the aspect of a square can “shoot out”. Rodin and Antoine-Joseph van Rasburg rented a studio for two, agreeing to jointly sell their works. Sculptures sold in Belgium were signed by van Rasburg, and in France they went under the name of Rodin. I think you guessed that it was not Rodin who benefited from this deal, but his accomplice. Currently, many works of that period signed by van Raburgh are most likely executed by Rodin, but it is not possible to prove this. This is how a square usually works - you invest, and others reap the laurels.

Horoscope of Auguste Rodin, b. 11/12/1840, 12:00 GMT, Paris, Placidus Houses.

I did not set myself the task of a full analysis of the horoscope sculpture. His natal chart contains many intense and interesting aspects and configurations. The life and work of the master was not strewn with roses. Society's assessment of Rodin has changed over time. Having achieved fame, he was for a long time a controversial, even scandalous figure, a “rebel” who shocked conservative ordinary people with his approach to sculpture. But in the last years of his life, resounding success came to him; Rodin was universally recognized as the greatest master since Michelangelo. The sculptor was able to tame the tense nature of the squares and turn them to his advantage.

For me, the square is the lines from Agni Yoga:

Love obstacles - we grow with them...

Auguste Rodin confirmed this statement throughout his life and work.

Tense aspects in action. Should we be afraid?

In any aspect, two key planetary functions are always involved. One of them is the basis, the base, the main characteristic.

How planetary squaring works: two qualities are in a hot war.

Before getting acquainted, building relationships, I turn on Uranus.

But if you get past the first resistance, the square reveals itself in talents, strong abilities, successes.

Principle of operation: no one quality can win.

In the midst of sleep, in the most intimate place, you wake up

They predicted that you would destroy the opposition in the Opposition, and not join it!

from the wild sound of a neighbor's drill. In a rage, you rush to your neighbor and throw his drill out the window. But now you can't sleep in silence. And when you finally reach the borders of Morpheus’s kingdom, children start screaming outside the window and you wake up again.

Easier: I can't sleep if there is noise.
It seems to me that I am not fulfilling myself and all the best and good things pass me by.
As soon as I start to rejoice, take initiative, do something myself, present myself - The moon falls into minus.

And again there are two distortions: then I’m a know-it-all, I’m smart, I become a big Soviet encyclopedia, I give out advice where it’s not required.

The main rule for today is - don’t be afraid, don’t avoid tense aspects! These are your most powerful engines of progress, tools of success.
Remember the most pleasant and comfortable comfort zone eventually turns into a swamp. And if this is exactly what happened to your comfort zone, then turn on the tense aspects immediately!

* An excerpt from the book by K. Daragan "Astrology of personality transformation. Karmic astrology and methods of horoscope correction."

Here it is necessary to make a digression to explain the general approach to working with aspects. Jan Kefer, who was one of the first to use the term “astromagic” in the book “Practical Astrology,” explained the work with aspects as follows: if there is a tense astrological situation, then it is better not to do anything serious on its topic, although aspects will push us to action. It is better to do all serious things on harmonious aspects, when, on the contrary, you want to relax and be idle. And since most people do just the opposite, the results in life are usually modest.

It's hard to disagree with him. But we need to add something. His approach is a simplified explanation of the essence. The aspect can prohibit the positive action of the planet and make it difficult to work through it. In many ways, it is the aspects that determine the character of the planet and the nature of its action in our lives. Aspects are subtle and very dynamic matter, their action is naturally adjusted every time they are “triggered” in our lives. They are especially flexible. That is why they represent fertile material for tracking and correction.

In general, an aspect between two planets manifests itself as a similar sequence of actions and reactions of a person in similar circumstances. This is a favorite topic in applied psychology. There is even a special term - “trigger”, or “trigger events”. A huge number of people perfectly know how to spoil the mood of others or themselves through something specific in the external and internal world. Moreover, for each of us this sequence is the same, if you take a closer look at it. Something specific (word, behavior, intonation) acts as a trigger, that is, a trigger for our negative emotions and, as a consequence, for decisions and actions. This is the external effect of negative aspects. After the action of an aspect is “tracked” and we recognize its manifestations, it can be corrected. And this means interrupting the habitual and destructive sequence and replacing it with something else. Psychology, and in particular Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), widely uses a technique called “pattern breaking.” This is exactly what needs to be done in each specific case. That is, every time a sequence that is familiar to us and unpleasant begins, it needs to be turned in the other direction by an effort of will. For example, if we had a negative aspect to Mars, which provoked us to get into a fight in the literal and figurative sense of the word, then it is possible to teach ourselves to stop at a critical moment and do something else that is more consistent with our interests. I can’t say that this is easy, since the force of inertia is very strong. Sometimes it’s hard to even remember the need to stop. But it can be done. And then squares and oppositions will work completely differently than one might expect. Literally, we are faced with the task of developing a new habit to replace the old one, which creates problems.

The easiest way to work out the natal aspects of two planets is to use significant events on all transit aspects of these two planets to each other. And also on the transit aspects of any of them to the natal position of the other. Usually it is at such moments that our behavior pattern is activated. And forecasting in astrology takes this into account when predicting events. Our task is to turn fate in our direction. If we are working on a negative aspect, then we need to prevent problematic developments. We can and must turn the situation in our favor. If we work through and strengthen the harmonious aspect, then it is necessary to consciously create the events that are desirable for us. That is, such as we want to receive in the future on the same aspect during the next transit response. Thus, we fill out an “application” for what we want our life to be. And these requests inevitably lead to a new response from the World.

Compound- this is the need to combine dissimilar things, the need to create with your life and your “I” a perfect fusion of two planets, even if they are as hostile to each other as Venus and Saturn. Connection is both an ability and a practical skill. In the above example, a person needs to understand and put into practice the idea that clarity can be beautiful and beauty can be strict, that concentration can be sensitive and sensitivity can be disciplined. Conjunction is the most powerful aspect, this is a situation when two planets act together, their archetypes are already fused together. Our task is “only” to make the connection harmonious, to reconcile the planets in the connection, finding a reasonable compromise for them and implementing their joint action in practice. Connection is always a practical aspect, requiring both understanding and implementation in life.

Opposition is an aspect of spiritual decision. The task here is understanding and sometimes humility, but not action. We need to learn to reconcile two planets on opposite sides of the aspect, since they are at war. The opposition assumes that there is either this or that, and the participating planets seem to be competing in a tug of war. This situation of internal division must be stopped. In difficult cases, especially if the opposition is aligned with the Luminaries, what psychologists call “repression” occurs. That is, denial of some aspect of life or one of one’s qualities. Examples of such opposition action are known to many practicing astrologers, since most people implement it this way.
Among the well-known personalities in a negative sense, one can mention A. Chikatilo (10/16/1936, 12.53GMT, Novoshakhtinsk, Rostov region, Russia). In his horoscope, the Saturn-Mars/Neptune opposition led to a severe, manic personality split due to violence. According to descriptions, he was in life in two states completely different in nature. In the first, he was a defenseless victim even for the students of the school in which he taught (affected retro-Saturn in Pisces in the First, suffers damage from the Seventh, the House of open enemies). His other incarnation was one in which he became a beast obsessed with murder and sexual violence (defeat of Mars/Neptune in the Seventh House from Saturn in the First). These facets of his personality were so torn apart by the opposition that even his wife and children knew only one side of this opposition - a sluggish and inert father and husband.

The opposition must be worked towards a tense connection. It is very important to learn simultaneously “lock in” both planets into action. As a rule, this is achieved through internal humility in relation to the “ambitions” of both planets. An example of such a spiritual act is the personality of N. Roerich (October 9, 1874), in whose chart the Venus-Neptune opposition found its highest synthesis in spiritualized, mystical art. It’s very good if the third planet is in trine to one of the planets and sextile to the other. In this case, she acts as a “peacemaker.” Through the people whom it signifies and through the areas of activity for which it is responsible, gradual harmonization of such an intense aspect is precisely possible.

Quadrature is an aspect that requires action and practical solutions. The usual action of a square is that we achieve our goal, but with great effort or loss. Here the elaboration goes towards the sextile. That is common task is such that we must turn circumstances to our advantage, at least minimizing the cost of nerves and time. Very often in business, people intuitively achieve such elaboration of quadrature. This is what gives some astrologers the right to think that the square is a harmonious aspect. In fact, many squares can be harmonized to such an extent that their destructive effect will not be so fatal, but will manifest itself as periods of very intense activity. Such, for example, is the cosmogram built on quadratures of the outstanding master-reformer of martial arts Bruce Lee, who became a classic example of a “self-mademan”, that is, a person who completely created himself (11/27/1940, 6.40, -08.00, 37n 47, 122w 25), or cosmogram of the legendary Marshal Zhukov (01.12.1896).

But there is another perspective. You can avoid working out the quadrature aspect. That is, avoid making decisions, avoid necessary but painful actions, surrendering to the mercy of Fate or following self-destructive impulses. You cannot stop evolution; changes always happen. And in this case, the square is working towards opposition, that is, towards the inability to do anything according to the function of these two planets. And you shouldn’t be surprised that in the next incarnation the new quality will already be innate. This is why I believe that J. Kefer’s approach is somewhat simplified. You just can’t run away from tense aspects - this is fraught with sudden and unpleasant complications. Approximately the same as what a person may encounter if he does not vaccinate himself against a dangerous disease in time. It’s better to get over the disease in a mild form and have immunity than to hide forever. An example of such a problem is the fate of Marilyn Monroe (06/01/1926, 9.30, -08.00,34n 03,118wl 5), whose life was actually destroyed by the unprocessed tau square Moon-Saturn-Neptune.

Trine- the strongest harmonious aspect. Its meaning is associated with a very well-tuned set of skills that work automatically, often outside of conscious control. For this reason, a person himself often does not notice the effect of the trigonal aspect, taking it for granted. This is, for example, the strongest, with mutual reception, Sun-Jupiter trine in the chart of Osho Rajnesh, who became one of the most famous “spiritual teachers” in the last century. In the worst case, however, a person not only does not notice the effect of the trine, but also does not appreciate it. There is nothing eternal in the sublunar world, and if you use your trine very limitedly, in two or three typical situations, then it naturally degrades. What is not used dies - this is an immutable law of evolution. The trine should be worked towards a harmonious connection. That is, it must be used not only in a few familiar situations, but try to expand it as much as possible. It is necessary and possible to make the trine of our two planets a persistent feature of your character.

Sextile- weak harmonious aspect. Its role is that success comes through creativity and experimentation, through the search for new expressive means. Sometimes we manage to find the right approach to solving certain problems, and sometimes we don’t. This is why sex style is considered an aspect of chance. There are still no stable, habitual and successful stereotypes here, like the trine. Errors are still possible here. And, above all, because a person is not always ready to see a chance in his life. This can and should be learned; after all, winning is also a habit. The sextile is worked towards the trine. That is, we purposefully learn to use our sextile aspect in such a way as to get the maximum benefit from the joint action of the two sextile planets. It is necessary to form the habit of always doing the best we can, and expand the experience gained to other areas of life. A striking example of such a successful correction of his horoscope is Walt Disney (05.12.1901,0.35 local, -06.00,41n 51, 87w 39), whose weak sextile between the Ruler of the First and Tenth Houses (Mercury), on the one hand, and the planet of the Fifth and Ruler of the Second (Venus), on the other hand, turned into the flow that made him a multi-millionaire , who got rich in art.
